A woman in her 30s presented at 39 weeks plus 1 day gestational age and was hospitalized for a planned cesarean delivery. She had been born with ichthyosis and did not use any kind of medication or skin care routine to relieve her symptoms. On examination, plate-like scale covered her whole body, and ectropion was observed. The patient was unable to close her eyes completely. In addition, a pterygium was observed in her right eye ().
