A patient in their 60s with no cardiovascular risk factors or prior coronary events complained of severe acute chest pain that lasted for about 30 minutes from 12.30 am to 1 am and subsiding spontaneously. Symptoms reoccurred at 5:30 am, and the patient was accompanied to the emergency department at 6 am with ongoing symptoms. Their spouse reported a recent diagnosis of colorectal cancer with a program of capecitabine chemoadjuvant therapy in view of the surgical excision.
