Over the last decade, outcomes for patients with melanoma have markedly improved due to key therapeutic advances including immunotherapy and targeted agents. However, management of advanced disease remains challenging, and rural-urban disparities in melanoma care and disease-related outcomes continue to persist. In this activity, expert faculty will review the latest treatment recommendations for advanced and metastatic melanoma, including evidence-based guidance for initial selection and sequencing of therapy. Strategies to improve early identification and management of adverse events and ways to overcome health disparities in rural and underserved patient populations will also be discussed.
