CME Credits: 0.50

Released: 2025-07-15

HIV continues to pose a major public health challenge, particularly in rural and underserved areas of the Southeastern US where the burden of disease remains disproportionately high. With limited access to infectious disease specialists, primary care clinicians therefore play a critical role in delivering ongoing HIV care. This on-demand activity—part of a two-part CME/CE series, Ending the HIV Epidemic: Expanding Access to HIV Treatment for Rural and Underserved Communities—offers a comprehensive overview of available antiretroviral therapy options, current guideline recommendations for their use, and emerging clinical trial evidence. Expert faculty will also explore best practices for utilizing a multidisciplinary, team-based approach to optimize management, reduce HIV-related stigma, and improve engagement in HIV treatment. This activity is a recording from a two-part webinar series that took place in May 2025.
