Course: Implementing Treatment Advances in Eosinophilic Esophagitis Care Across All Ages in Rural and Underserved Communities

CME Credits: 0.00

Released: 2025-08-29

Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a progressive, inflammatory disease characterized by chronic esophageal dysfunction that can lead to dysphagia and food impaction. Early diagnosis and adequate treatment are crucial to optimize clinical outcomes, yet management can be difficult in rural and underserved communities where specialist access is limited. Increased understanding of the condition and evidence-based treatment options among primary care clinicians is therefore crucial. In this activity, expert faculty will review the symptoms and clinical presentations of EoE and best practices for integrating current and emerging therapies into care based on newly updated guideline recommendations. They will also share collaborative, patient-based strategies to overcome barriers and appropriately support patients with EoE in rural and underserved areas. This enduring activity is a recorded session from Rural Health Clinical Congress Spring 2025 that took place on May 17, 2025.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
