The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our growing Mental Health Team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of America's Veterans.

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will:
Conduct comprehensive psychological screenings, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for a wide range of mental health conditions.
Perform cognitive screenings and determine the need for specialized neuropsychological or dementia evaluations.
Serve as a clinical supervisor for psychology staff, trainees, students, and pre-doctoral interns within the CAVHCS APA-Approved Psychology Internship Program.
Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary treatment planning and patient care activities.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Identify patient needs requiring specialty consultation and facilitate appropriate referrals.
Maintain accountability for clinical documentation, patient encounters, outcome measurement, and productivity standards.
Promote patient independence through education, counseling, and community resource coordination.
Provide counseling and consultation for patients, families, and caregivers related to health maintenance and disease prevention.
