Research Article: Disulfidptosis-related signatures for prognostic and immunotherapy reactivity evaluation in hepatocellular carcinoma
Abstract:
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common cancers in the world and a nonnegligible health concern on a worldwide scale. Disulfidptosis is a novel mode of cell death, which is mainly caused by the collapse of the actin skeleton. Although many studies have demonstrated that various types of cell death are associated with cancer treatment, the relationship between disulfidptosis and HCC has not been elucidated.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most prevalent malignancies with poor prognosis in the world and a significant global health care concern [1, 2]. In 2020, there were approximately 906,000 new cases of primary cancer of the liver and 830,000 deaths globally, with HCC accounting for the majority of cases [3].
