Abstract:
The primary objective of this study was to develop an end-to-end model that can accurately identify corneal endothelial cells and diagnose keratoconus based on corneal endothelial images acquired from a non-contact specular microscope.
Introduction:
Keratoconus, also known as the conical cornea, is a condition that affects the shape of the cornea. In a healthy eye, the cornea is spherical, but in individuals with keratoconus, the cornea becomes thin and bulges outward, forming a cone-like shape [1, 2].
