Abstract:
In December , the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-) first appeared. It spread quickly over the world. Wide-ranging symptoms of the coronavirus disease (COVID-) can progress to more serious presentations such pneumonia and a number of non-respiratory consequences. Recently obesity has been linked to increased vulnerability to COVID- hospitalization and mortality. This is due to associated physiological disturbances in obese persons including low grade inflammation (with increased pro-inflammatory cytokines), dysregulated innate and adaptive immunologic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and endocrine systems.– Additionally, the high adipose tissue expression of angiotensin- converting enzyme- (ACE-) that used by SARS-CoV- for cell entry, making it acts as a reservoir for the virus.
