Introduction:
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is defined as a chronic respiratory disorder marked by persistent respiratory symptoms and airflow limitations. COPD significantly affects general well-being, which is important in view of its increasing incidence and associated morbidity and mortality. In COPD, the normal airflow is irritated by episodes of respiratory symptoms, with deteriorating intensifications that add to disease progression.
