Introduction:
Around million people in China have diabetes, and the type diabetes mellitus (TDM) population in China is the largest in the world. TDM is a chronic condition, and comorbidities like hypertension and hyperlipidemia are common. All these are risk factors for cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Compared to non-TDM individuals, CVD risk is two-to-four-fold higher in patients with TDM. , , CVD is one of the primary causes of death in patients with TDM, accounting for approximately half of all deaths.
