Hirschsprung’s disease (HSCR) is a neonatal congenital disorder of the enteric nervous system (ENS) in which the myenteric and submucosal plexus of the distal intestinal wall are devoid of ganglion cells due to developmental impairment of the ENS during embryonic development.
