Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks the immune system and can induce Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), which is recognized as one of the most threatening communicable diseases worldwide. HIV is a growing public health burden that threatens millions of people around the world. Since its first discovery in , HIV has become a pandemic affecting every country in the world.
