Research Article: Assessment of Occipital Involvement Among a Large Population of Females with Pattern Hair Loss in Saudi Arabia
Abstract:
Female pattern hair loss (FPHL), also termed female androgenetic alopecia, is a highly prevalent hair loss condition characterized by progressive hair follicle miniaturization leading to hair thinning and shedding., The scalp distribution of the hair thinning follows characteristic patterns such as Ludwig’s type affecting the crown region, “Christmas tree” pattern mostly affecting the frontal region, and Hamilton type affecting the temporal regions.
