Research Article: Comparison of the pCR Rate and DFS Among Breast Cancer Patients with Different Hormone Receptor and HER Statuses

Date Published: 2023-05-01

Abstract:
In recent decades, the number of breast cancer (BC) patients has increased rapidly, and BC is the most common malignant tumor in women around the world. Currently, according to the ASCO guidelines, BC subtypes are defined by the statuses of the estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER), and Ki. HER status, which is evaluated by immunohistochemistry (IHC), historically is classified as positive (IHC score of + or + and amplification of the ERBB gene) or negative (IHC score of , +, or + with nonamplification of the ERBB gene).
