Research Article: Development and Evaluation of the International Council of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (ICCPR) Program Certification for Low-Resource Settings
Abstract:
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) continue to be a leading burden of mortality and morbidity, which is much higher in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) than high-income ones. Eighty percent of CVD mortalities occur in LMICs, of which nearly % are classified as premature. Half of the world’s population lives in LMICs, where a disproportionate % of global cardiovascular deaths and % of disability-adjusted life years (DALY) losses occur.
