Abstract:
Antiretroviral therapy (ART) refers to any HIV treatment that uses a combination of two or more drugs to effectively suppress viral load and preserve immunofunction. Nowadays, patients receiving ART have access to a wide choice of therapeutic alternatives and have strong long-term survival chances. ART has unquestionably been successful, but there are still safety and efficacy issues with many medications, especially in individuals with baseline virus loads >, copies/mL.
