Research Article: Clinical Significance of NAT Genetic Variations in Type II Diabetes Mellitus and Lipid Regulation
Abstract:
Type II diabetes mellitus (TDM) is a metabolic disease that is characterized by a high blood glucose level due to the decrease in insulin release from the pancreas and/or an increase in peripheral cellular resistance to insulin effects. Uncontrolled TDM can cause harmful complications in the human body. Jordanians, like many other Middle Eastern populations are known to have a high prevalence of TDM.
