Research Article: Primary Open Angle Glaucoma Diagnosis Using Pattern Electroretinogram Parameters

Date Published: 2023-11-01

Abstract:
The most common cause of lifelong blindness worldwide is glaucoma. It is brought on by the death of retinal ganglion cells and the progressive degeneration of optic nerve axons. The most prevalent type of glaucoma is primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). In the absence of additional ocular or systemic anomalies, it is characterized as a set of chronic, bilateral, and asymmetric ocular illnesses in adults that cause progressive optic neuropathy (morphological changes at the retinal nerve fiber layer and optic disc) and vision field deficits.,
