Research Article: The Value of Percutaneous Ultrasound-Guided Subacromial Bursography for Rotator Cuff Tear in Elderly Patients with Shoulder Pain
Introduction:
Currently, shoulder pain ranks third among the most common symptoms for the diagnosis of orthopedic patients, with rotator cuff tear (RCT) as the most prevalent cause. Rotator cuff is a cup-like structure consisting of subscapularis, supraspinatus, and teres minor which help lift and rotate the arm, covering the head of the humerus and keeping the humerus in place. RCT has been identified as one of the major causes of shoulder pain and dysfunction, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients.
