Research Article: Bioinformatics Integrative Analysis of Circadian Rhythms Effects on Atopic Dermatitis and Dendritic Cells
Abstract:
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that affects approximately % of the global population. It manifests as dry skin and severe nocturnal pruritus, affecting sleep continuity and quality. AD also deteriorates the patients’ quality of life and is currently posing a heavy social burden. Its molecular pathogenetic mechanism, which remains poorly understood, involves complex interactions among genetic, environmental, and immunological factors. The main factors causing disease development include skin barrier dysfunction, immune dysregulation, and microbiology., AD is associated with circadian mechanisms, and aberrations in the circadian rhythm homeostasis may play a role in its pathogenesis.
