Research Article: Clinical Characteristics of Eosinophilic Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps in Adolescents
Introduction:
Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is an inflammation of the nasal and sinus mucosa characterized by nasal obstruction, mucopurulent rhinorrhea, facial pain/pressure, and decreased or loss of smell for over weeks. The diagnosis of CRS requires findings of polyps, purulence, or edema on nasal endoscopy and/or inflammation or mucosal changes within the paranasal sinuses on imaging studies.
