Liver cancer is the sixth most widespread cancer and the fourth primary cause of cancer-related death. Its incidence and mortality may keep rising by . Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with a dismal prognosis is the most prominent type of primary liver cancer. The important risk factors of HCC include chronic B or C viral hepatitis, heavy alcohol consumption, metabolic associated fatty liver disease, and aflatoxins. Serum alpha fetoprotein (AFP) is a traditional index for the diagnosis and postoperative follow-up of HCC patients. But the diagnosis sensitivity of AFP is only –%. For HCC treatment, the development of systemic therapies of HCC has quickly accelerated. Nevertheless, the treatment response for advanced HCC is still not optimistic due to tumor heterogeneity and drug resistance.
