Research Article: Incidence of Epiretinal Membrane Formation After Pars Plana Vitrectomy for Giant Retinal Tear-Associated Retinal Detachment
Introduction:
A giant retinal tear (GRT) is a full-thickness circumferential retinal break that involves more than three clock hours or degrees of the retina associated with posterior vitreous detachment. The annual incidence of GRTs is estimated to be between . and . per , people, comprising about .% of all rhegmatogenous retinal detachments (RRD).
