Introduction:
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a syndrome characterized by chronic musculoskeletal pain. – The diagnostic criteria for FM are still being updated over time, and the current criteria issued by the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) include: chronic (> months) widespread or multisite pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, cognitive problems, other somatic symptoms (headaches, abdominal pain or bloating, dizziness, paresthesia), diffuse and significant soft tissue tenderness on examination.
