Research Article: Variables Associated with -Day Mortality in Very Elderly COVID- Patients
Abstract:
There have been million confirmed cases and nearly million deaths worldwide from coronavirus disease (COVID-). Beginning in December , there was a dramatic increase in the prevalence of COVID- in Beijing. The clinical severity of COVID- ranges from asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic to critical illness with multi-organ failure. There is evidence that lymphocytopenia, elevated levels of inflammatory biomarkers, and especially advanced age are associated with poor prognosis in patients with COVID-. In particular, elderly adults are more likely to have severe disease and fatal outcome.
