Abstract:
Over one billion individuals, or % of the world’s population, have some form of impairment. More than % of disabled persons reside in low- and middle-income nations. In Uganda, a National Household Survey in found a disability prevalence of .% among people aged two and above, implying that about . million Ugandans report one form or another form of disability. Disability rates rise sharply with age and are higher amongst women and in rural populations.
