Since , several different indirect video laryngoscopes (VLs) have been developed. The VL can provide an improved laryngeal and glottic view, a higher intubation success rate in patients with a known or predicted difficult airway and a reduced incidence of laryngeal/airway trauma compared to direct laryngoscopy.– Videolaryngoscopy devices have become more affordable in recent years but are still relatively expensive and underutilised in modern airway management.
