Research Article: Appropriate Use of Primary Statin Preventive Therapy Among Patients with High Atherosclerosis-Related Cardiovascular Disease Risks: Cross-Sectional Study, Northeast Ethiopia
Abstract:
Atherosclerosis-related cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is a plaque buildup in arterial walls that results in arterial wall narrowing manifested by ischemic heart disease, ischemic stroke, peripheral arterial disease, aneurysm, or dissection. It remains the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in both developed and developing nations, and its incidence continues to rise with a consequent increase in the rates of coronary and cerebrovascular events.–
