Introduction:
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is defined as any degree of abnormal plasma glucose tolerance that occurs during pregnancy. , GDM not only leads to common complications such as macrosomia, fetal distress, and fetal malformation but also leads to long-term adverse pregnancy outcomes such as cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome and diabetes mellitus type . , Therefore, effective management of GDM is urgently needed to avoid severe adverse pregnancy outcomes.
