Abstract:
Bone growth is a dynamic process and involves continuous remodeling. It primarily depends on the homeostasis between the resorption of osteoclasts and the formation of osteoblasts., Alterations in the homeostasis between the resorption and formation of bones occur in several skeletal diseases, such as osteoporosis and osteopetrosis. The primary cause of such skeletal diseases is aberrant osteoclast activity; hence osteoclast activity could be an important therapeutic target.,
