Research Article: Clinical Characteristics of Erythema Nodosum and Associations With Chronicity and Recurrence
Abstract:
Erythema nodosum (EN), the most common panniculitis, classically presents as erythematous nodules in the bilateral pretibial areas. Literature characterizing EN is scarce—restricted to small (N?<?200) cohorts outside of the US, with fewer data examining chronicity/recurrence.1-5 In this retrospective cohort study, we characterize the presentation, causes, treatment, and disease course of EN, and identify associations with chronicity/recurrence.
