Abstract:
Monitoring in-hospital mortality is essential to ensuring quality care in healthcare and hospital settings. It is a crucial indicator of the effectiveness of high-level processes in these settings. As such, keeping a close eye on in-hospital mortality rates is essential to ensure patients receive the best care possible.–Although many diseases can be prevented, mortality and disability are often inevitable, especially as people age and face chronic illnesses defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), such as cardiovascular, lung, and renal diseases, cancer, AIDS, and neurodegenerative diseases like multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, epilepsy, and brain tumors. Therefore, palliative and end-of-life care have become standard, monitored, and accredited in hospital care.–
