Research Article: Identification of Shared Biomarkers and Immune Infiltration Signatures between Vitiligo and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis
Abstract:
Vitiligo is a chronic pigmentary disorder characterized by the development of white macules in the skin or hair. The prevalence of vitiligo is referred to as .–% around the world and is more common in dark-skinned individuals. Non-segmental vitiligo, the most common clinical subtype, often bilaterally distributes in limbs or scattered over the body. The lesions evolve or progress over time, which is psychologically stigmatizing and brings a lower quality of life.
