Objective: The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, a reliable substitute indicator of insulin resistance (IR), is considered an independent risk factor for long-term outcomes in patients with cardiovascular disease. However, studies investigating the association between TyG and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) are limited and lack direct evidence.
